What ever happened to the Super Smash Bros. PS3 game?

Perhaps they could be paired up with the Loco Roco. You could use the face buttons to unleash Patapon attacks and the bumpers to make the Loco Roco bounce / headbutt.

 

Edit: Maybe they could be summoned as a special attack requiring you to enter the commands with the correct timing. This would leave you vulnerable to counters for a few seconds but would summon a rain of spears. There are plenty of creative ways in which the Patapons could be used.
