Obesity has nothing to do with initiative, it is entirely the result of mcdonaldization, the corporate takeover of food industry which prevents cheap healthy food from reaching the market. |
Obesity has nothing to do with initiative, and everything to do with corporations who have the magical ability to somehow disrupt people's metabolic function so that they're unable to burn the calories that they consume? Got it.
Not everyone who is obese lacks initiative, that's true, but it was agreed that we're generalizing here, so your anecdote about walking uphill both ways to your 72 jobs means nothing. People who have similar diets (in terms of composition, not amount) can vary wildly in body composition, but in the absence of a glandual or metabolic disorder, it can generally be explained by caloric intake and exercise regimen. Period. All this talk about rich people dining on foie gras and baby asparagus while poor people are forced to subsist on Doritos sandwiches is beyond parody.
