It's a shame that Aonuma is in charge, period. Somebody who has never beaten the original The Legend of Zelda cannot know why it was such a great game. In fact, he does everything he can to make new Zelda games as different as possible when it comes to gameplay, because he doesn't like The Legend of Zelda.

I don't really think that's fair thu... Aonuma directed OoT - which was great, right? And he made TP as well. That's 2 great Zelda games, and I for one really enjoyed SS - which makes 3 great games made by Aunoma... And further more I think it's great he's exploring different gameplay alternatives; otherwise the series would become stale, and eventually boring. SS's controls are wonderful - except when they don't work XD

Shigeru Miyamoto directed Ocarina of Time while Aonuma was partly responsible for the dungeon design.

Zelda doesn't really need new gameplay, the problem is that the current formula is broken. It's a formula that only superficially resembles old Zelda games. The lore is there, but the rest is mostly just something else. Nowadays you can't even upgrade your sword anymore, because Aonuma sees it as an insignificant element.

Well, since Miyamoto is the overall producer (and was the one that more or less put in M+ in SS) isn't he to blame just as much as Aunoma then?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
