Michael Pachter always tries to apply the traditional rules to Nintendo's business planning and it never pans out the way he continually thinks it will. You'd think he would have learned that by now.

Wii launched alongside PS3 as a competing platform and it had GAMECUBE graphics and a wand controller. It sold like hotcakes for five years, while PS3 has never managed to get out of third place. If that doesn't prove that the normal game console rules don't apply to Nintendo, then I don't know what will.
