Well, two things to further explain my 160k figure:
1) Hundreds of thousands of people have pirated the game, and of those, most of them are the RPG enthusiasts, of whom most of them will have either already finished it, or decided it's not for them. Either way, both will mean lost sales for the NA release.
2) Most importantly, JRPG's have lost a LOT of their popularity from the PS2 era. This generation has basically ruined the reputation for JRPG's, with the only exception being the DS, because developers could use N64 graphics. This means, even if Xenoblade is one of the best JRPG's of this generation, that isn't saying much. This generation has been terrible for JRPG's.
Sales in NA will not be very good. The Wii has been in steep decline since the beginning of 2011, and the release of a two year-old JRPG isn't going to change that.
