Releasing a game like Skyward Sword when things like Xbox 360 has been out for five years is like releasing a new Snake game for iPhones. Its sales are great when taking the tech and recent Wii sales into account.
With that said, Twilight Princess deserves to sell more and is definitely in my "top 5 greatest games" list. Another thing to keep in mind is that some people probably completed Skyward Sword and wanted to catch up with the series, just like how Uncharted 2 got a boost from Uncharted 3.
