You're either really young (teens) or not from US... or both. I work for a defense contractor as a software engineer/project manager. I get paid salary not hourly. If I have half naked people on my screen and someone who walks by thinks I'm looking at some inappropriate site, I will be sent to HR and have to go through tons of hoops to proove myself innocent. Additionally i'd probably have to go to some crazy HR based training and have at least one manager convorsation about appropriate material. That's just how it is in the real world... at least in US. Personally I don't care and I stay out of NSFW threads and make sure things I think may be considered bad aren't on my screen.... and since 2006 when I started on this site, I've never had an issue. However, its steadily gotten more risky over the years as more kids decide to go crazy with images. I don't see why you have to have such material as your pic... its not like its hard to find NSFW content on the interent if you really need to check it out. I've also frequented plenty of other sites for phones, random tech, android developing, etc and this site, recently, has had far more NSFW-ish avatars than anywhere else. |
To me this looks like your problem not ours and it's your choice when and where you use this site , what do you think would happen if I worked at a church who had a problem with south park would it be incumbent on the site to please me, if it was becoming a big issue i would try to find a space for vgc some where in my weekly schedule , talk to my employers and explain to them I visit this game site on my breaks some of the people have bikini girls or topless men as avatars something i have no control over but it's content is gaming and game sales and I don't want to have to explain about it and end up reported every time some one new sees me using the site so could you help me craft a solution to this problem.
