I think the image of the asian chic with an open top barely missing her nipples is a clear example of why this rule is now in effect.
Its a page or two back....
That will certainly get me in trouble if a female walks up and sees it on my computer screen. That is why if there is a thread marked NSFW, I don't open it up.
I do admit, while I like seeing people's avatars/sigs, Rol's solution with adding an option to hid avatars is pretty good. That combined with moderation for obvious over the top NSFW avatars would be sufficient.
