It has a bit of push you can give it, but the shape is pretty solid. It's soft, but firm, so you wouldn't want to use it as a pillow, but it feels alright. I took a picture of me giving him a bit of a push in the chest area and it's about that point that I start feeling the resistance. (I tried to take the picture at an angle so you can see how far I'm pushing in.)
