Yeah tell that to the person that one day ignores you while you need help with something. He/she will tell you they will loose energy if they let you sit on their seat.
You might be healthy and don’t need help but one day you will and you will ask yourself why did I not help that poor lady that needed help carrying the bags a couple of meters to get too her house.

Not sure why that would matter. If I'm down on my luck and no one offered me a seat, they can use the same reason I stated, and it wouldn't change anything. The consequence for helping the lady has the same level of risk as the consequence for not helping her. He doesn't need to help her because there is nothing to be gained and the reverse is also true. So, in a sense, there is no right or wrong answer for what he did. He just chose to do what felt was best, considering the circumstances. There is no right or wrong for what he did. Which is why I said it.

No we don't, though I take it you're trying to insult me in some form or another so I'll let it slide. The main point I was trying to make, have made, and will continue to make,is that what he decided to do wasn't right or wrong. I'm not trying to advocate going out and never doing anything at all whatsoever. If an old lady came up to you on the bus, and I don't know let's go with something silly, your leg is asleep and you realize that if you stood up to give her your seat, you would collide into her. Let's hold all things constant and assume that if your leg is asleep that will happen 100% of the time. Who is right or wrong in that circumstance?

It doesn’t take long before my leg wakes up so I can stand on the other one until I can use both. As for colliding with her, well I could wait until the buss stops and then get up and let her sit.
If I had a broken leg then that’s another thing. You help when you can of course
What you loose in standing is gained by the good feeling that you helped someone in need and that’s enough for me
