Am I wrong for not offering my seat to an old lady on the bus?

I'm one of those guys that thinks that a woman should have no problems giving up her seat either. There were, from the sound of things, quite a few young females there. They could have just as easily gotten up and given their seat to the old lady. Chivalry and politeness should not be limited to one gender.

At the very worst, you feel bad that you didn't do it. So take a lesson from this and if it ever happens again, give up your seat. You can feel good, people will think that you're a kind and polite guy, and the elderly person will be grateful that you were willing to do it before anyone else. But until then, don't beat yourself up over it. It happened, it's in the past. Learn from it and move on.
