I think it's safe to say the PS3 is the definitive graphics king for this gen

Alan Wake being on Par with HR because it came SECOND rather than FIRST, yeah that makes sense LOL.

Coming a close second every time, does matter. Heavy Rain only got 5 1st place awards, if Alan Wake gets 100 second place, and Heavy Rain gets say 10 (overexaggerating), then obviously Alan Wake won more awards.

No, Heavy Rain should not be a "graphics" king because I have played the game, I own it. Im actually playing it as we speak. It does NOT look that good and it never did in my eyes. Awards are a showcase of that.

Good, we can agree on something, I only really inclued Alan Wake as a counter to Heavy Rain, and Heavy Rain was in the OP.

In 2008, Gears of War 2 won at the VERY least 80% of the best graphics awards.
In 2009, Uncharted 2 won at the VERY least 80% of the best graphics awards.
In 2010, God of War III won at the VERY least 80% of the best graphics awards. IGN gave it to Mass Effect 2, and so did a lot of other websites, GoW3 got at most 50%
In 2011, Uncharted 3 won at the VERY least 80% of the best graphics awards.

You're overexaggerating, after Uncharted it's an even list

2009 - With no Uncharted, Batman, RE5, or Killzone 2 (which they have said is < Gears 2) would have won
2011 - With no Uncharted, Crysis 2 would win

OUTSIDE OF UNCHARTED, PS3 has no games that standout graphically This is what the media says..

So look, using IGN as it's the biggest website. They say Gears 2 > Killzone 2, Mass Effect 2 > God of War 3, Crysis 2 > everything else 360, and Crysis 2 is #2 to Uncharted 3. Basically what IGN says, like me, is yes Uncharted 3 is the best, but after that it's a mixed bag. To them Crysis is ontop of the bag, to me it's Gears 3, to someone else it's Killzone.

Thats all you need to know. The top 3 tier, the holy trinity. With The last of us from ND coming and a potential God of War IV.. "yay".

All im saying is Gears has never won as many awards as both Uncharteds despite being released on the same year. Its not even CLOSE.

Those 3 are in a league of their own buddy. If theres such a "little" difference that it comes down to opinion, its very funny that Gears barely gets any love ^^.

But Gears 2 did win best graphics in 2008, by most websites. A fact you conveiniently omit. It's won a lot of best graphics awards. Next to Uncharted, I agree it's #2, but it's better then Killzone and GoW3 (you can have a different opinion, but at least accept the difference isn't huge).

"Best of E3's" on outlet sites, rates what we were shown, not how good the games actually are because.. yknow.. we dont really get to play the game itself aside from perhaps a test lmao. WHAT THE FUCK? Killzone 2 is MILES worse looking than Killzone 3.

DUDE you have NOT played these games, I am positive! You think two games JUST because its the same franchise LOOK the same? No.. You HAVE to be trolling me!! 

Not really.... Killzone 3 and 2 look about the same, the difference is KZ3 has more interesting environments (where KZ2 is all city), and runs without FPS drops on random load freezing between sections.

Also in the same regard, Gears 3 is much better looking then KZ2.

You didn't counter my arguement, like most of my point you ignored it and went off on a rage because you can't accept.

The OP can say CoD is the best graphics on consoles. You would completely accept that and start making arguments towards it?

Well I was originally arguing the OP before people quoted me. So you agree Heavy Rain and Alan Wake are out, good, we can agree.

Forza and GT have barely won any graphic awards for a reason. People don't find them as stunning as other games. I'd even say the racing genre as a whole is a tad back in comparison to adventure / action games. But thats just MY opinion, nothing factual. What is factual is that other opinions all around the world, that get to play 10 times the amount of games You and I do, are giving awards and praising Uncharted 3, Uncharted 2 and God of War III as the best looking games on consoles, period.

It's because they are boring to look at. GT5 and Forza 3 have to model cars, not human emotion, water, or fabric in the wind. They model it best, but what does that achieve?
