It's amazing that the system that had the best launch by far is now on-track to become the second worst selling of them all. And with a similar amplitude as the Dreamcast. This is unacceptable, Sony just forgot Japan and now it's trying to fix it, but it needs more, way more!

Wow, awesome graph. Two questions: 1) where from? And 2) what are Fam and MC. Your contributions in this thread are awesome.

@OP. very nice thread. Took me time to understand the difference between this and the article ones, but it all makes sense now.

Request: would it be possible to mention respective Vita PSP launch dates between each graph as also suggested by Rol?

@kowen, I have also noticed an improvement in the quality of your posts, don't let the past spoil your positive direction. I can say the same for ethomaz. Good job in sticking to numbers guys and let the data do the talking.

@vgchartz. Look at how far we've come from the PS2 to PS3 paradox of LTD vs aligned launch. VGChartz is awesome and more awesome by the day. Let's keep kicking ass guys and gals!

Thanks, but the credit is not mine. The graph is from Neogaf - if you think Vita is doomed here, you have no idea how it's there!

MC is Media Create and FAM is Famitsu - two different sales trackers. MC numbers are usually more respected, but famitsu numbers are so similar that you can use any you want. Famitsu is good for old data too, since Media Create is more recent.
