Normally you would be cautious with console sales because the cost to produce a console decreases so you want to make as many of your consoles at the lower prices as you can without shorting demand. Its a balancing act.
But with game discs the cost is the same across the board....DVD production has been thoroughly mastered and its not getting any cheaper any time soon.
Add in the fact that CDs and DVDs are produced at rates in the range of tens of thousands per hour at most production facilities and I am having a hard time understanding this. Perhaps in pushing back the date they put it too close to when production was starting and they are only going to have a few days of production??
Whatever the issue is I hope they get it resolved =P Not much time left though.
