I don't have a Wii, and so have yet to play SMG, but honestly these sales don't surprise me at all. I'm not trying to diminish the game in any way, but nintendo could release a Mario game that sucks worse than 12 year olds at trash talking and it would still sell. Gears was a new IP so of course it wouldn't sell as well as the longest running franchise in console history.
