I stand by my statement that games in general are worse, and certainly less innovative in general imo.
For Japan I think home console games are going to be less and less, except big titles that do good in the west like Final Fantasy, MGS, or a lot of Capcom games. Because the home console market is small and getting smaller. Not to mention, they're a lot more expensive to develop for than handhelds.
