It's a good video and will probably have a huge impact, you might want to watch it.
Summary:
The story of a guy who is raising a kid, explains to him about his friend Jacob (about the same age as the narrator).
The story begins with Jacob as a boy from Uganda, explaining the emotional impact of the experiences he lived due to a cruel man named Joseph Kony. There, the narrator makes a promise to Jacob, telling him that he will stop him. The video mostly builds from that point onward.
As he goes along, the importance of social networking in our day and age is highlighted, and the narrator details how far he has gotten along in his promise to Jacob, utlimately leading to the involvement of the government to send troops to help educate the Ugandan miliatry in technology and tactics so as to stop this wicked Kony. This was after the narrator was told that government involvement was an impossibity, unless enough people voiced their concerns.
Well, that's what the narrator set out to do. After impacting countless hearts with the videos he built, and the stories that went with them, a massive amount of people in dispersed communities across the nation, then the globe, stood up and protested, and voiced their desires to their respective governments. The US's Obama listened.
2012:
The issue is that interest needs to be held so the US doesn't withdraw. The narrator came up with a plan to seek the assistance of 20 prominent figures and 12 leading politicians and leaders so as to fulfill the mission. They are serious about it, I for one saw the video on Mike Tyson's facebook feed. They are offering kits, containing with 2 bracelets (explained in the video), some tags and some posters.
On April 20th, during the night, the global Kony 2012 community will raid streets and cover billboards and posts with Kony 2012 posters. It would be fun to be a part of it and actually make a lasting change in the world and the course of history, for once!
