early reports said that it was 90% for the first shipments (650K first day).  700K shipments for the first week, 90% above?? I hope others will do the math.

Just like in my thread. It is the second highest in debut sales beating FF XIII-2. If one piece will have amazing legs then it could be the 2nd best selling PS3 game or the 2nd million seller.

[PS3] Final Fantasy XIII (Square Enix) - 1,906,000
[PS3] Resident Evil 5 (Capcom) - 910,000
[PS3] Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Konami) - 896,000
[PS3] Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Square Enix) - 798,000
[PS3] Gran Turismo 5 (SCE) - 642,000
[PS3] Tales of Xillia (Bandai Namco) - 632,000
[PS3] Yakuza 3 (SEGA) - 598,000
[PS3] Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (SCE) - 598,000
[PS3] Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage (Koei) - 564,000
[PS3] Yakuza 4 (SEGA) - 558,000
[PS3] Gran Turismo 5: Prologue (SCE) - 534,000

So if you put onepiece on the list. It's already on the fifth spot.

Yeah. usually I would say it doesn't reach million with this kind of opening on PS3 but with so high sell trough it could have maybe sold even more during this first week if it had  bigger shipment so the legs could be better than usual. For example as FF XIII-2 first shipment was 850k units but it only sold 605k so everyone knew it won't make it to the million. We shall see with this one.

Agree and usually the PS3 titles are very frontloaded and the used market is also an issue in Japan. The 3rd shipments also according to some retailers. They will get the 3rd shipments this march 9 so a lot of potential sales could be gone to the used sales.
