It definitely got out of hand. I remember when the PS3/Anonymous/Lulzsec thing went down, supporters were talking aobut the good Anon used to do. It just seems as of late, maybe as new and younger members joined, their motivations became more selfish and they started going after people who "hurt" the hacking community, regardless of how small the infraction was. That's how I saw it, anyway.
