What would you want Nintendo to make better with an eventual 3DS upgrade?

No, they shouldn't get rid of it. It's tradition, it needs to be there.

The Nintendo 64 and Gamecube didn't have a Select button and look how that turned out.

Goes to look at controllers.... OMG you are right..  I believe you solved the mystery of why some of their systems fail.  Now the big question...  Was there a select button on the Virtual Boy?
