I'm 60% sure the save data is listed as a "profile" (basically, the thing that has a picture of your character). I accidentally deleted mine a few months ago and when I tried to play again recently, it treated me like I was starting again for the first time, I had to load up my LBP1 save to play online. chances are, the LBP2 profile didn't take during the transfer as a result, your saves are...gone.
look again in the place "Game data" and see if they are there.
PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
