Didnt they say that you have to be in the house to receive the info from the actual console?? This leads me to believe that it will not be portable, hell I think Iwata said himself that was the case. Even if there were some things you can run on the Wii U pad itself I imagine it would be so basic that it would be irrelevant IMHO

Mr. Iwata and Reggie both said you have to be near the Wii U to download/play games on the controller. That means if my Wii U is in the Living Room I can go to my room and close the door and it should work. They haven't announced if you can go outside and still use it though, I don't think.

That means its not portable, not saying that their is anything wrong with that BTW
