By that quote, I wasn't hinting at the e-shop. I was hinting at this: Though the e-shop is a direct competitor to the Apple App store, that I hope you agree, be it by circumstance, mitigation or not.
Of course you're right, and that's due to the App Store phenomenon, where games can now be bought en masse at 0-1$. That's why Iwata said: "The important thing for us is to make these proposals by taking advantage of our position of being able to make unique offers based upon the integration of both hardware and software as we are making both." Hence the premium. That's why I'm saying all this matters, Nintendo knows it, and so should we. |
I dont agree, because the Wii U is a very different device than an Iphone, Ipad. Its a home console first and everything else second. So I dont see how those two Apple products are competing with home consoles, it makes no sense. They cater to different needs.
As long as ninty could make a shop that offers something at least similar to what Apple does they should be fine in that regard, PSN/Live have been doing alright, dont see why Ninty cant get their head out of their asses in that regard
