It wont be backwards compatible anyway, Sony plan to sell PS3 for years and years after PS4 releases just like the PS2 |
Is that why the PS3 wasn't backwa....oh wait. Not to knock you down, I know they got rid of the emotion engine chip later, but one thing I respect when they did was droping the ps3 by $100, while a ps2 was $100....seems like if you wanted ps2/ps1 games you had the same option, even if you couldn't find a fat ps3. With the PS3 not having as big of a base or software lineup as the ps2 it might actually be more reasonable to include it this time around than last, unless there is some notable damage to the price of the system. They will probably look to sell ps3's after ps4, but not for as long as ps2 since this gen has been lasting a while. My guess is that ps4 will have backwards compatibilty to support ongoing ps3 software releases, maybe digital discount style, but the ps3 will halt production as soon as the number plummet, 2 years after or so (it won't have the shelf life ps2 had, just long life for current owners). PS3 software might last longer than the hardware....idk what I'm talking about, don't listen to me...where's my wife?
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
