It's the right choice. Nintendo wants their 3D Pokemon debut to be a stunner. A sequel (what I think might be more like an expansion pack) to Black and White is not going to move the needle for a 3DS debut as much as a brand new generation of games would. Plus, you released the originals for the DS, why alienate the millions of gamers who haven't moved up to the 3DS just yet?
