Through its first 14 months, the 360 sold about 23 million peices of software. Far shy of Wii's 34 million.
That paints a pretty clear picture for me. I know exactly how this gen is going to end up. It doesnt even seem to matter that the 360's lineup was far superior, and that the Wii comes PACKED IN with a killer app which can easily stunt sales. It STILL vastly outpaced the 360's start. |
Sure, that's a useful number.
I also like monthly software sales divided by total user base, but I've never seen anybody use that number outside of this site.
