Well I have already tried it and spoke about it with my PS3-owning colleagues in the spanish forums Apparently the upscaling is UP To 1080 p ,that means it also upscales to 720p or 1080i if that is the TV you own . I couldnt make the proof myself as I dont have HD TV yet so I cant comment on how does the upscaling work .What I can say is that you have first to activate the improvements in the options settings ,both for games and for DVD ,if you dont you wont appreciate anything obviously . More things ,the retrocompatibility has been improved ,odd because it doesnt even mention it in the license .I was able to play MGS2 Sons of Liberty and MGS3 Snake Eater and they work flawlessly .For what I hear others as Black work as well .The european retrocompatibility is nearing completion with this update ,i cant think on any big game that is left out right now . As for the multimedia home web I am still downloading some things to prepare my PC for it .It will be great to access everything from the PS3 . The PSP capabilities to access the PS3 from anywhere I dont have tried yet ,it will be difficult to try this out after all ...it would mean abandoning the house and leaving the PS3 connected in the remote play option I suppose .If someone has tried this out please tell me if its anything different . All in all the PS3 is a incredible machine I must say ,and I am more than happy with it .
