Sales numbers have collapsed for the Wii in the past two years.
2011: sold only 12 million well down on previous years selling: 17, 24, 21, 20 respectively.
Wii sales are 40% down on 2011. Wii U release later this year is needed to upgrade the aging Wii hardware.
Wii U will give Nintendo the sales boost it needs and start off 8th generation.
