Seriously though...  I feel where he is coming from.  I was probably labeled just as disillusioned back in the mid 2000 when I swore Nintendo was on a comeback.  I was mainly laughed at and I suppose that is the fate karma had in store for Sony fans.  They were never really good sports in the "console wars" and they got what they deserved.  Having their favorite company make mistake after mistake last gen only helped worsen things for them.  They just had a terrible "plan" for the start of the generation.  They finally got their head out of their ass but it was too late.  They still ended up decently but nowhere near where they should have if they actually had a good plan for this home console generation.

Whether the two are similar depends on the details. When you made your proclamations, did you have any evidence to support you? Or were your ideas like Gilgamesh's, i.e. a load of drivel that's completely devoid of facts and contradictions, completely divorced from reality?

An argument can be made for gilgamesh's position. But that requires more than mere assertions, most of which fly in the face of reality, and the rest of which are dependent on wishful thinking. It's not his theory that's amusing, it's his approach.
