Damn it. This is exactly how I feel also, except I thought N64 did okay but Sony took its thunder. Sadly, though, there may never be another SNES2 simply because of Iwata. He's a great president for Nintendo and I'm glad he's brought Nintendo to where they are today. It's just that his strategy is disruption by innovation, and appeal of the blue ocean.
I'm hoping Wii U combines NES/SNES strategic business model and Wii's dynamic appeal to a cohesive whole.
