Oh that's cold, but I do know most of the time having the home ice advantage throughout the playoffs pays off. In most games sevens, the home team wins. It is just statistics.

I remember in the  90's when the Hawks won the Presidents trophy, but not the Cup.  I wasn't celebrating,

The last time the AVS won the President's cup they also won the Stanley Cup in a game seven verses the devils. It payed off big time.

The reason that the Avs won the Cup that year is because they were the best team in the playoffs.  Look, the Canucks had game 7 at their place last year and that wasn't a win.  What I'm saying is that while home ice is nice, it doesn't mean that you're going to win it all.  Also, the President's trophy by itself is worthless in my eyes.
