Je parle et lit francais un per.
I use to speak it more fluently, had a teacher who was a French/American citizen so learning was pretty easy. (But most of the romance language are easy to learn if you have a decent teacher.)
I was learning to speak both French and Spanish but the teacher while capable required spelling test which made me fail out of the class. I have trouble spelling in English, spelling in a foreign language was a little much to expect. In French she concentrated more on speaking, reading and rhetoric (grammar) even in AP she added comprehension.
