Judging from the launch first sales numbers that are arriving, it looks like, considering PSV is currently weaker in USA than in Europe, the pre-launch bundle was a nice idea. Special editions and bundles, and adequate marketing of the next game releases, could be a way to avoid having to cut price too early.

IMHO this is something that SCEA failed to do in the US, Sure they got around to it eventually, with the KHs, Daxyer, Hannah Montana, Madden, GOW, SWs etc. colors and bundles, but Japan was doing that its enitre life cycle. i hope SCEA learns from this for their sakes

Agree. It's not a mystery that Sony fans in the West envy a lot their Japanese fellows for all the bundles and special editions they exclusively receive. And while PlayStation advertising at sports events, particularly in Europe, is simple but effective, and KB is funny and good for the PS brand as a whole, specific, non sports games often receive advertising that although rarely bad, is often not enough intensive. Ninty has a more simplistic advertising, and MS one is often appalling (except some excellent ones), but both know better than Sony how to insist until everybody knows their products.
