It's called "interview survey," which is quite a valuable and accurate way to research stuff like that.

How many 5 yeqar olds and people actually filled out the survey, sporry thats hardly accurate.

Then how would you gain accurate numbers, oh all-knowing master of the universe?

When they interview a mother/father and she/he responds "our 5 year old son has a DS and I have one, too," then you have a number for a 40 year old and a 5 year old.
