This is the same guy who said Wii would sell less than GameCube, then that there would be a "Wii HD", and that 3DS was doomed... Meanwhile Wii decisively won the generation selling 5X the GameCube, there was no Wii HD, and 3DS broke sales records by becoming the fastest selling console in history for its first year.
Pachter is no better at making predictions than you or I; and I would say he is much less likely to be correct - largely due to his bias against Nintendo, and his inability to write positive predictions about Nintendo when they are most often the winning team. The only difference is he is some sort of gaming site character. If people would ignore him, then he would go away.
