In the short term it would appear like Nintendo made the wrong move, but when you will see profits surge over extensive next-gen support at the expense of current-gen support, things will start making sense, and the people in charge we will be thanking. We'll be thanking them because we're going to be enjoying next-gen incredibly, and the possible benefits that come from Nintendo being profitable (you know what I'm talking about 
).
