how do you mean funnier? Or do you mean funner? Because I actually enjoyed playing it offline.

Of course it's enjoyable offline! Both games are some of the very best ever made in my opinion, offline or online (easily in my top 10 of all time). It just gives a little extra spice when you are new to the game and play online see the comments and hints people have left on the ground and and you feel that you aren't entirely alone in that hostile world.
