Funnily enough JET selected me for an interview earlier this month, but apparently it absolutely had to be in New York or i had to withdraw my application, so i did. I may, however, look at private companies if I am unable to find a job in America. Or, hell, i could do it in other countries. I know someone who was rejected from JET who went on to teach in South Korea, not knowing a lick of Korean. Korea has good wages but a low cost of living, so it would even out and let me gain headway on student loans... |
fortunately for me I live a few hours from new york, I was aware of the competitive nature, but figure it should help that I have a masters, speak Japanese fairly well, and have been teaching English as a second language to Karen refugees for the past year or so, which has the also gave me the unique boon of being one of only a few hundred Americans to speak Karen.
I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!
NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They really made me feel the urge to visit Japan. I've always had a crush for that country. I just can't decide whether I should do a semester in Japan or the US.
