Actually I don't identify myself as a Nintendo fan, just a Wii fan. Wasn't even one of those before discovering VGChartz but what brought me here was the sales info.
Nintendo had taken a shocking direction and while I believed it would be a massive success, I wanted to see if it worked out for them or not. I soon found it was a lot of fun to (along with John Lucas who did it bigger and bolder than I) proclaim the Wii to be this generations winner (back in 2006 here) and watch all the Sony fans freak out but ever be supported in the claim by hard data.
The great moderation kept me here as it was the only site I ever found where you can have an intelligent conversation without idiotic comments being tossed in all over the place.
After I while I got caught up in all the Nintendo's fans hype and discovered a few games I'd have never bought otherwise (like RE4, Fire Emblem and Endless Ocean) and a few I wish I hadn't (Mario Galaxy, Trauma Team). When my son decided to sell his Wii for a 360, I now had so many titles for it, I had to purchase it myself - my first console since Colecovision.
