Wrong question. In order to reach those levels Nintendo would have needed to put out at least a couple of these games already. To match the DS on the road to 10m, Nintendo needs to sell five million 3DSes in seven months, that's 700k per month or more than 150k per week. Currently they sell about half of that. The 3DS needs a REAL Mario game, Pokémon generation VI, its own Tetris (not literally Tetris) and a myriad of other games that have proved themselves on the DS already. Nintendo needs to put out more games that make DS owners buy a 3DS. Of course, appealing to those who never bought a DS will increase sales too, but Nintendo should not forget about their core audience. |
UHmm highly unlikely. Then, we shall wait for the 15million mark, hoping that Nintendo will indeed develop a good long term plan.
