Apparently you're to young to remember the whole "controversy" of Nintendo forcing Acclaim to tone down the blood and gore content of the original Mortal Kombat on the SNES, which led to the game selling alot better on the Genesis and SEGA scoring some points at the height of the 16 bit wars.  This is also the point where the popular "Nintendo is for teh kiddiez" meme started to emerge among the gaming community, and it's only gotten worse as time went on.

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard though. A game is no better or worse with or without blood and gore. To give one game higher points for including that is just plain ludicrous. I'm not directing this at you but I really hate when people call Nintendo a kiddy company just because of some certain (good) actions they have done in the past. Grrr! >_>
