The1 just to clarify as I said Nintendo botched the 3DS launch. They had expected it to sell and for third parties to fully support it. They did not have games ready for the launch window (first six months). Star Fox should have been ready and fully complete for the first few months as should have Zelda. Nintendo rushed SF online multi player was in the works.

Nintendo screwed up. Also yes investors might have been a little upset at launching at 199.99$ it would have been just breaking even to my knowledge. But guess what investors are not all that bright often. Investors often are concerned about the short term profits rather then long term.

Lets ask would investors have been more upset with a successful selling 3DS that broke even and turned a profit through software or a shambles 3DS selling at a profit but not making anything on software and very few hardware units selling. I bet share holders would have preferred a 199.99$ break even launch price over a price cut months into launch selling the console at a loss. I myself didn't predict 3DS would bomb but did say it couldn't match DS numbers at that price point.

Nintendo just needs to plan WiiU launch better then they did 3DS. If remakes of Zelda and Star Fox could sell as well as they did on 3DS I have no lack in confidence that SF and DK could easily sell out Nintendo's stock at launch.

You'd probably find my dream line up and launch plans for WiiU interesting I think you had posted on them. If Nintendo complimented DK and SF with Pokemon in Japan they would have so much fire power that they couldn't possibly keep the system on shelves.
