"No plans" to bring PS2, PS3 games to Vita - Sony

Remote play can work, but currently only through hacking. What you can actually do is very limited

And this is a shame, they could possibly even re-re-sell me some games, and certainly something like the Jak Collection should be avaliable on Vita, it only just came out, and it wouldn't be that much of a challenge to port it to the PSVita given they have already "done the impossible" and got it onto PS3

Also, Squeenix say that they are going to release FF X HD for PS3 and Vita, so if that ever happens, hopefully that might start a trend

what do you mean only by hacking?  i thought this was an officially supported thing (at least for the psp).  i've never hacked my ps3 and there is some setting around this in my menu around this.  here's a terribly shot video of pixaljunk eden being played by a psp...are you telling me the psp had to be hacked to do this?!?!?

PixelJunk Eden is compatible with remote play, so you can play it on any PSP.

Now, a PS3 hack enables remote play for all games, allowing them to be played on PSP/Vita. Some were unplayable on PSP because it lacked buttons and a second analog stick, but now are fully playable on Vita by configuring the rear touchpad to emulate L2/L3, R2/R3.

 

PixelJunk Eden isn't the only one, there are a few other PSN games as well
