The only thing that stands out about Killzone is how badly written it is. The characters are all pretty lame (and then there's Rico, who takes the fucking cake), with the lone exception of Garza who I have to assume is likeable entirely by accident. And Helghan are the bad guys... why? Because they don't want a bunch of interlopers on their planet? Oh, and because they look like Nazis! Fucking stupid shit.

That's kinda one of the pluses to the story that makes it interesting. There really is no good side in this war. One could even argue that you're on the more evil side of the two. I wish the Helghan were playable in Killzone.
