Riiighht. You and I both know that the people predicted high because of YOU! Only because of you and your mind games. Your extremely high prediction made all other high predictions appear plausible by comparison. It's called the desensitizing effect. That outlier tapped into people's subconscious and made fairly high predictions seem okay. By predicting so high, you suddenly made realistic predictions appear pessimistic, and overly-optimistic predictions appeared realistic by comparison. You caused them to predict higher than they really wanted to. I bet if you hadn't messed with that thread, people would have predicted lower and the average prediction would have been at around 2.6m.
