TF3 really suprised the studio by its massive sucess and it was all due to the overseas markets.
Lol TF3 exploded in box office due to increased popularity overseas especially in China.
It made around 170+ million in China alone compared to 350 million in North America.
Its almost certain that the next TF film would gross 200+ million in China.
Look at the latest Pirates film, it was not good at all but it also made over 1 billion dollars.
So as long as there is a market, these films wil be made.
Also with inflation and 3d prices, these films only need to attract like 50-70% of the audience of the last installments to get a similar or higher gross.
