I think it (50 post rule) was put in place to stop thread spamming.... a number of new accounts were being created purely to make threads full of links to "cheap nike trainers!!!" or invitations from fake women to chat on live messenger.
Of course it doesn't stop people like man-bear-pig going crazy with thread creation, but at least his are mostly legitimate ideas for threads.
Anyhoo, if you are in need of help for your games you should ask some people through a personal message or on their wall... just find someone else who owns the game you need help in (assuming your game collection in your profile is correct i'm afraid I can't help though 
)
