7970? 4 times Wii U? Wat?

Microsoft has seen what the casual market is about, don't expect them to just walk away from that and make a console that will cost so much money no ordinary family would want to buy it from the start. I proper rig with 7970 uses roughly 650 watt.

Let's just entertain the thought of a console with a 7970 deviation with beefy everything. The card alone costs 400+. You're saying u want sick graphics. Expect your games to cost way more. Why? Look at the production costs. Length of singleplayer parts of games have gone down by alot. Several studios can't handle that kind of cost when they know that there is a risk the game won't sell enough to even cover the costs.

Microsoft will probably bundle the Next Xbox with Kinect 2.0 and create a reliable console that doesn't RRoD in the first iteration of the console. Casuals are a big big market these days and Microsoft knows that. Just look at their campaigns with Windows Phone, Windows 7 etc. family driven activities. Unleashing a console that costs 400+ with a huge loss is not what they are going to do.... at all...

If the Wii U is 5 times Xbox 360 I will be pleased. Why? Because it will improve graphics and it will make it possible for developers to do many things. What Microsoft will do? Probably something similar because the Xbox 360 is just now begging to create profit. 6-7 years later. What Microsoft will do with the Xbox in the future it probably to make it a family console that can play movies go on the internet and play fun Kinect games the whole family can enjoy while still have enough power to please 'Hardcore'(Graphic lovers) gamers.

The cost of the GPU ain't the problem even if it is based on a high end Radeon 7900. A Radeon 7970 is already cheaper than what the X1900 cost at the time of the X360's launch, and we have another +1.5 years for manufacturing refinement and cost savings for the Nextbox GPU until it is released.

I just realized that the problem with the GPU is power usage. If the Nextbox is based on a GPU that draws 280W (Radeon 7970) while the X360 was based on a GPU that draws only 120W, we have an unsolvable big ass problem. And it will mean that Khuutra wins and I lose.
