Sales clearly show that the Mario crowd is bigger than the JD crowd on the Wii, so the JD crowd cannot far outweigh any other audience on the Wii; and the Mario crowd has diverse tastes, because the Mario brand covers quite a broad range of genres and all these games sell well. If you admit that certain genres have poor representation on the Wii, then you cannot blame Wii owners for it like you initially did. Because if the games are not there, then the sales can't be either. You know, games that do not exist cannot sell. |
Mario games are first party, they are going to sell the best on any ninty system regardless, that doesnt really change the fact that those people buying those games still dont care about it. Bottom line is the majortiy of WIi owners simply dont care about the games that the HD crowd cares about, and vice versa. Yes there werent that many say, FPSs on the WIi but the ones that did come out nobody really bought, again not their fault, they simply moved on to other consoles that did have thsoe games they wanted to play. Im pretty sure the JD crowd is still a hell of a lot more likely to buy a Mario game over something like COD. Mario games in general are more in line with JD games, easy to pick up and play, more family oriented, etc.
