i could have added more but regardless, from what i've seen, vita previews that don't mention how light it is are very rare, but at least you concede you are making assumptions

Fair enough, we do not know which is lighter relative to volume. Since the WiiU barely has anything to hold, I figured it was lighter relative to volume but I have no numbers to back that up. If going by hearsay, then you're right I can't argue on that ground since Vita had that as well. Conceded.

Nonetheless, if neither you nor I know, how would the author of that article know? It's reasonable to assume he held it, but why would he consider it bulky when everyone else said it was light relative to the size it exhibited. Something is wrong. That's the central point anyways, so on this aspect (the author's opinion) I stand my ground. Either he is biased, or he spoke out of his hat (like you and I do, reasonably, we have nothing else. He on the other hand is a journalist). Either way, I dislike it ;)

o_O.Q: i guess you put that there to imply that the vita feels heavy and cannot be held comfortably in both hands?

happyD: Relative to the Wii U Controller, yes.

o_O.Q: that may be right but how did you reach that conclusion? you haven't handled either product and you haven't showed any comparisons on the two from journalists so what is the basis for your conclusion?

In terms of heavy, I conceded that above, I really don't know and the Vita articles discredit my argument, so that's yours.  As for ergonomics, though I have not handled either, from videos I've watched, I can tell you the Wii U controller is much more confortable by the looks of it. But even if we did handle it, you would never concede because comfort is a matter of preference. Since you're that kind of poster (you don't use common sense on these kind of things), I won't argue it with you. With someone who can see the difference between this and this, I'll continue the debate:

Vita

Wii U

happyD: "How is the Vita comparable to the iPad and the Wii U not?"

o_O.Q: its his/her opinion as i said before

As a journalist, he should have an informed opinion, not just an opinion. If everyone was to just blabber their opinion and put on the "Journalist" tag, then what a shitty industry this would be to follow. Thank heavens for instructive journalism based on facts rather than tastes. Given everything brought up this far, his opinion sucks and is obviously full of bias. I rest my case.

As I've said many times before, there is opinion, and then there is Opinion. Someone with a lousy opinion should be quiet.

In a context where we all look for facts and information, an unfounded opinion is not enough. Stop repeating that "it's his/her opinion" nonsense if you want to be taken seriously.

Last point about this. He is entitled to his opinion, but as a journalist or poster, all opinions need to have a rationale. It's not enough to just say "It's my/his opinion". That is baby talk.

If you want to defend his opinion, be my guest. But just saying "That's his opinion when I've brought up facts and considerations to work with is ridiculous. I won't waste my time with it.
